Party Time

Kate and her friend Gwyn's birthday are one month apart so her mom talked me into having a combined birthday party. I am so glad that she did because it was so fun. We made it an ice cream themed party. We had 4 little girls from church come. We decided to do it on a budget and make everything ourselves. I love to get crafty but don't have much confidence in myself. Everything turned out really well and the girls loved it.
We made an apron for all the girls to take home as the take home gift. Melissa made a pin the cherry on the ice cream cone game. And I made a home made pinata. It was so fun to do paper machete. I think I might take it up as a stress relief.
The birthday girls waiting for their friends to come.
Melissa made the ice cream shaped cake, and we had an ice cream Sunday station. Mike had a bright idea to have nachos and they were the hit of the party.
Kate hitting it out of the park. I don't think my kids have ever hit a pinata before, she was a little confused. Her dad was in charge of the rope and only played tricks on her.

When it came time to get the candy everyone else knew what to do except Kate. She got down and started looking for candy she liked. By the time she found something the rest of the candy was gone. She ended up with one piece. Good thing Crew was there, he gave her all his candy. What a man Crew thank you.

Cake time! The big 4 years old. What happened to my little girl?
I think Kate might have blown all the candles out for the both of them.
Kate and Gwyn each gave each other a princess umbrella. (it was not even planed) We were both at different Wal Marts the day before looking for presents and we came up with this. Both girls threw fits because they could not get an umbrella for themselves. Boy, were they surprised when they opened up new umbrellas just for them. "Wow, a barella just for me, just like Gwyn."
Our friend Kirsten made these super cute capes. Kate loves to jump off her bed and fly like a super hero.
Ryan slept though most of the party but woke up just in time for the food. And he was naked the whole time. That's my boy!

Girls only Ezra! Kate did not want him to get any ideas with all the other girls around.

The ice cream theme is super cute! You should have more confidence in your craftiness. The pinata looked awesome!
