Kate's idea of a Good Time

The other day I was in my parents room making a tutu for Kate's costume. Ryan was asleep and Kate was playing quietly in he room or so I thought.......
She came in the room and asked me for some help looking like this. I had no idea what was going on. Did she get a can of spray paint? Is she aging at a rapid rate? I had not idea until I went into her room to find thick white powder covering the whole room, floor to ceiling with an empty bottle of baby powder sitting on the floor. It is so hard when you want to laugh and get a picture, but inside you are so angry that you want to lash out all at the same time. So I had a happy face on while I got the picture and then she was in trouble. I think it confused her. It took to hours to clean up but she helped me the whole time. It also gave me a good excuse to dust the entire room, wash all the bedding, clean out all the toy boxes, and get rid of the gross rug (that was now ruined) that we have had since Kate was born. I think she learned her lesson.
After I had cleaned up I went down stairs to rest and have a snack after my long clean up. Ryan was awake by now and I had not seen him in a while either, but I rationalized, he would be fine I needed a break. Not a moment later Sarah was yelling from up stairs "Nasty, Nasty". That could only mean one thing. "POOP" So went up (leaving my opened and not touched yogurt downstairs) to find Diarrhea all over my parents carpet and Ryan naked playing in it. It only took a half hour to clean up that mess, but it was pretty nasty. I made it back down to my warm yogurt and had a few bites and started wondering where Ryan was again. So I once again I put down my yogurt and went to find him in my room covered in my makeup. Clean up number 3. That was my really bad after noon. I spent a lot of time by myself that night thanks to my wonderful husband. Good thing I love my kids unconditionally. That day I almost changed my mind. I can't wait to had one more to the mix.

Wow. What a fun day! Doesn't it seem like these days always happen when we're pregnant? We wonder what we got ourselves into, but by that time, there's no turning back!
