Our ward Halloween Party is usually the biggest event of the year. It has a carnival, chili cook-off and a trunk or treat. The kids were really excited to go in their costumes. Mike was excited to enter the chili cook-off.
Kate was my cute little black kitty cat. It was a fight until the end, but she went along with it and that makes me happy. She had all the cat moves down. Ryan was so excited to be batman he just didn't want to wear the costume. He got used to it after a few hours. He just never put on the mask.
A few hours before the party I got into the holiday spirit and decided to dress up as a go-go girl. A pregnant mom can have fun too, right. I already had the dress. It was made by my aunt how wore it when she was 16 and was 40 years ago so it was authentic. I just needed the boots so I spluged and bought them from party city. It made hallowen so much funner.
Mike came home from work at lunch to make his chili from scratch. He worked so hard and it was so good. Most of the chili was gone before the judges even arrived. He was robbed and got 3rd place. My mom got 2nd so overall we won. I was proud of him, he had never made chili before and it was delicious.
