Mike and I have been wanting to take the kids camping for awhile now. We called the rest of the Stewart clan and made a plan. Kershaw Ryan State park by Caliente NV was our destination. The first night we had the dutch oven masters make us a delicious chicken and potato dinner. The cobbler was the bomb.
The first night the weather was good. We sent up camp and the kids ran wild.

The weather got worse from there. High winds and freezing temperatures threatened to cancel our trip. We held strong and stayed. We went into town for their memorial day celebration.
They had a small train museum.
We found a great hike that the kids loved. It had beautiful views of the valley.
Brynn did not have much fun on our trip so Aunt MJ hooked her up with a hot tub next to the camp fire. I guess that's why Brynn loves her so much.
We drove out to some family property in the middle of nowhere. The men have big plans for it. It was a great place for the kids to hike and explore.
We found a cave on the top of the mountain. It took a great team effort to get all the little kids up there.
Except for the weather and the tent blowing gal force winds on us all night, NO camp fire due to wind, 12 people eating in a small tent trailer for every meal, sand storms and crying kids we had a great time. Whens the next trip!
