Brynn in the ER

Our 2 week old baby had not eaten in 20 hours and had a fever of 102. So we made the decision to head to the ER. G-ma and G-pa Stewart came over to watch the other kids. They rushed us back and did vitals. The doctor came in and told us she would need to have blood drawn, urine sample (cath), and a spinal tap. You can tell by Mike's face we were a little overwhelmed. After they did all the tests the said that they would have to culture all the results for 3 days and we would have to stay as well for observation. What!
Brynn was a trooper she really did not cry for the tests and started to eat again soon after.
Mike and I settled in for the night. It was like a dream come true for both of us to be sleeping in a twin bed all night. True love!
It was so hard to maneuver her around with all her cords and attachments.
After two days the cultures were all negative and the doctor gave us the green light to go home. It was an adventure but we are glad our baby is healthy again.
Time to go home! What a way to spend mothers day!
