A few months back Kate did a reflections project for her school. She decided to do the photography portion and spelled out "be honest" with pine cones. The theme of the project was "The world would be a better place if..." So Kate wrote about how the world would be a better place if people were more honest. A month went by and I got a call that I should be at the reflections award ceremony. I would normally not go to these events so I am glad they called. Kate was so excited to have her Grandma come with us. Kate and her Grandma are best friends. Grandma helped collect pine cones for the project so she was invested in the win. We waited for the photography portion to be called and they called Kate Stewart for 3rd place in Photography. She was probably up against 30 kids. She was so surprised. I love it when she can be recognized for her accomplishments. She was so proud of her self and we were too. Way to go Kate! We love you!
