Baby Molly Marie

Well, bowling worked. I had contractions all afternoon on Nov. 30th. But I always had contractions so I did not think to much about it. We got an insurance police to pay for the birth but the catch was that you had to have the policy for 10 months before it would go into effect. 10 Months was December 1st. The same day as my due date. I had never gone into labor on my own before so I was not to worried. Mike on the other hand worried about it everyday. Mike and I went to bed around 9 and he took a sleeping pill. I said a prayer and told Heavenly Father that we had finally made it to our Dec 1st deadline.   I said lets have this baby now. I rolled over to go to sleep and felt a jolt in my body. The contractions were at it again. This time they seemed stronger. I tried to go to sleep reminding myself that I don't go into labor on my own. After 20 minutes They were coming more regular. I got up to check my bag just in case. My Mom and Dad were down the hall so I went for advise. My Mom said to go in. She was ready for this baby to come already. I was very nervous to wake up Mike. I knew he was so going to be exhausted. We got the hospital around 11:30. The contractions were regular but not to bad. I was a able to beat another birthing mother up to labor and delivery. There was no way she was going to take my bed. Once I got up there I told the nurses about how fast my other births went.  They took me straight back. My water broke as I walked into the room. I told them to order the epidural. I knew we didn't have much time. I had a great nurse and she worked as fast as she could. The contractions were coming much harder. I was at 4 centimeters. Mike and Amy were my birth coaches. I  really needed them for this one. I was in a lot of pain all at once. I started throwing up too. I had never done that before. I was dilating pretty fast and knew that that epidural better hurry up. He finally made it to our room. He placed it but it never really went into full effect. I think it took the edge off of at least. The nurse checked me one time and she must have moved Molly because I instantly got the worst back pain. After a few pushes she was born a 2:30 AM. We made it! Dec. 1 she was here. Our 7 lb 6 oz baby girl, Molly Marie. It was a fast but painful labor. In the end its always worth it. I was strep B positive and they only got in one dose of antibiotics. So they made us stay in the hospital for 3 days. It was torture we just wanted to go home. The kids were so in love with her. Mike was a trouper he stayed with me every night. My Mom was super Grandma and took care of the other kids and the house. We are so happy to finally be a family of 6. We love you Molly.
