The Ranch

As soon as you pull onto the dirt road out of Afton you know you have made it. Its such a great feeling. The seat belts come off and you are ready to party. This year was different because we were at the ranch by ourselves. Grandma Mary was with us but no kids and no other families. Papa showed up midweek for a few days. We had the whole place to ourselves.

The ranch is my favorite place for photo shoots. It is so beautiful and has so many cool places to take pictures.

One had we headed into town for a parade and the county fair. Mike and Ryan got new boots and Kate got a new hat. They were looking like county fair rodeo stars.
I love this boy so much I could take pictures of him all day. I am not sure if its because I am most lost him or because he is so sweet. I have no idea how I tricked him into taking these pictures. Especially with his shirt off. He is so modest.

Kate on the other hand would pose for me all day. She loves the camera and the camera loves her.

Because we were the only ones their the kids got to spend a lot more time on the horses. Uncle Brent told Kate was  so good she got to graduate out of the corral and take a real horse ride into the mountains on an indian trail. She could not have been happier.

Brynn got to spend a lot of time with Dad and I out in the canoe. Looking for fish.

I love going to the ranch because Mike gets to escape from work, phones, emails, and TV. He is free to play and be happy. It is truly an escape from real life.

This year Mike loaded up on rockets and kites. They were a hit. They even came down close to were we launched them off. He was even sporting his USA shirt for the launch.

I love this picture. We don't get to many with Papa but he sure does love hanging with his Grandkids. Ryan covered his ears for 15 min. to make sure he did not hear the rockets launch.

Brynn loves horses. She was in heaven watching them. So daddy took her for a little ride.

Kate on her way to the big Indian trail ride.

Beautiful Brynn blowing in the wind. It was such a great trip. Its all ways so hard to leave because you never know when you are going to make it back.
