San Antonio

In three years Mike and I have only been away from Kate for one night when I had Ryan. Moving in with mom and dad, changing jobs, and a really had year, and we were ready for a vacation. Dan and Mary were nice enough to take us to San Antontio for a three day weekend. l was really nervous to leave my kids for so long. I only cried twice and called 20 times a day, but now that I am home I wish I would have let my self go for the weekend. I guess that means we will have to do it again soon. We had a lot of fun exploring the town and walking around the beautiful river walk. It was nice to have some time to ourselves and catch up on some sleep.
We visited the Natural Bridge Caverns which were really cool. This was my choice for a days activity.
The pictures don't do it justice. It was beautiful.
This is the entrance. Can you see the natural bridge?
This is the happy couple on the river walk. It went all though downtown. With cool historic buildings on either side.
We went to the top of the Tower of America. It is like the stratosphere but not as tall. This was Mike's choice of activities along with dinner at Ruth's Chris our favorite.
Dan's choice was a rather lengthy tour of the historic sites including 3 missions. They were all really cool and we learned a lot.
A huge tree and me at the Alamo.
Mike and Texas flag at the Alamo. We love photo shoots.
The Alamo.

We took a boat cruise on the river walk the first day it was beautiful and relaxing.

Wow. I sure miss you guys. When I read the part about you going again without the kids and really letting yourself go, I welled up a little. Man, I sure know that feeling. Crazy what kids do to you. Crazy how you want and need a break, but for some reason cant. Man I miss you :) Glad you got a vaca! Next time make it reno for me ok.
