Tubes

Kate got tubes on Friday. We have been looking forward to this for a long time. It is finally time to put an end to the ear infections. We went in on friday morning at 6 am and sat in the hospital bed for an hour and a half. Kate had fun playing and talking to every person that walked by. She thought she was so cool. There was a young girl with her mother next to us and Kate walked over and peered into their room. She came running back yelling "Mom its a witch a scary witch." It was really embarrassing. Finally, the doctor came and took her away, screaming for her Daddy. Mike almost lost it. He does not like to see his baby girl in pain. The surgery was done in 10 minutes. It was perfect. She woke up asked for milk and started screaming again. I still don't know if she was in pain or just was still mad at us for letting the doctor take her. She cried the whole way home until she passed out hours later. She still keeps bringing up the doctor taking her. We were hopping for a miracle surgery to make her a polite reserved two year old, but it dose not look like our prays have been answered. She is still the spawn of Satan. And I say that in the most loving way. It makes her the wonderful person she is. We are glad it is over and are still hopping for a dramatic change in her attitude. Keep your fingers crossed for us.

Let me just add as the third witness that Kate's tantrums have reached a whole new level. Kristi, you are a saint. And as someone who likes to hang around your house occasionally you know Kate will be in my prayers as well, mainly because I will be there, but for your benefit as well.

I'm just happy to see Kate is still wearing her Christmas pajamas. I'm glad Ezra isn't the only kid who keeps the Christmas spirit all year long!
