Trying to feel like I am Talented

Lindsey and I were out running around town, when she got the idea to make receiving blankets. I thought, hey maybe I could do that. So we bought fabric and even though it cost more to buy the fabric then to buy the blankets at the store we went for it. I am not very meticulous so I hit the sewing machine right away and once Lindsey saw that mine were not top quality she opted to wait for more experienced help. I on the other hand went out for more fabric. Practice makes, perfect right. Well I did not find that to be the case. I think my first blanket was the best. But I enjoyed myself which is most important. Now I have to find more things to make before I fill the baby's closet with the same blankets and burp cloths. I hope yours turn out good, Lindsey!

Kristi, Kristi, Kristi. I spent 4 plus hours on ONE blanket today. (and 5 more bucks) I was cursing (in my head) the whole time thinking what an idiot I am to listen to you about not buying those receiving blankets at Babys'R'Us for 10 bucks. I put bias tape around it and you will have to judge how it looks, I am still mad at it for taking so freakin' long I have a skewed opinion. We are on the road back tomorrow!

why do they take so long? You just sew two sides together on the wrong side and them flip them out and do whatever kind of stitch or trim you want on the frontside...I don't understand why it takes so look. They look cute. I made lots of them out of flannel but stuck with the baby colors...yours are more mod!!!
